ABOUT ME
VEDAT KEEN KESKIN

I discovered my passion for creative expression at an early age. Even in preschool, I began drawing and exploring various ways to visually convey thoughts and emotions. While working for renowned advertising agencies, I devote myself intensively to painting, deliberately using unconventional materials such as recycled shopping bags and coffee as a painting medium. Since graduating as a VFX designer in Munich, I have been working internationally, incorporating my experiences and beliefs into each of my projects.

Art, Film & Advocacy –
Creative Expression with Social Responsibility

I was born in the early 1970s in Anatolia, Turkey, and grew up in a culturally diverse family with Kurdish, Armenian, and Turkish roots. My father is Kurdish, while my mother has Armenian-Turkmen ancestry. From an early age, I discovered my passion for art, which fascinated me from the very beginning. The endless possibilities of creative expression captivated me, and I was deeply impressed by the power of art to convey ideas and emotions.

In the early 1980s, my family emigrated to Germany due to political unrest in Turkey. The streets I wandered through at that time were filled with political slogans—an experience that not only sharpened my political awareness but also profoundly influenced my artistic development. Street art became a central form of expression in my creative work.

During my school years in Frankfurt am Main, I was introduced to hip-hop culture, which was heavily influenced by the children of stationed U.S. soldiers. These experiences broadened my artistic horizon and provided me with a platform to express my identity and experiences as a migrant in Germany. The racism I encountered left deep marks and inspired me to confront these challenges through my art. My works focus on themes of discrimination and social justice, reflecting my personal journey.

In addition to my passion for street art, I work as a VFX designer and showcase my current projects on my website. In this role, I have collaborated with renowned advertising agencies, creating visual effects for commercials. I utilize industry-leading software such as After Effects, Nuke, and DaVinci Resolve to craft impactful visual experiences. Particularly enriching were my contributions to large-scale commercial productions, where I was responsible for designing and integrating CGI elements.

Furthermore, I am actively involved in film production, working with professional, industry-leading film cameras such as ARRI, Sony, and Blackmagic cameras. These high-end cameras enable me to produce visually stunning content at a cinematic level.

For me, art is not just a means of creative expression but also a tool for social change. In addition to my artistic pursuits, I am actively engaged in advocating for women’s and human rights, which play a central role in my works. I see art not only as a reflection of my own experiences but also as a platform to shed light on social injustices and spark dialogue on urgent societal issues.

My creative expression, inspired by street art and urban aesthetics, reflects the struggles and hopes of those who stand against racism and discrimination. After graduating as a VFX designer in Munich in 2001, my international career opened up unique experiences and perspectives, which I incorporate into every one of my creative projects.

I invite you to explore my art and my work as a VFX designer on my website. There, I not only present my creations but also share the stories and themes that inspire me. For me, graffiti is far more than just street art—it is a vibrant expression of identity and a platform for socially critical messages.

Additionally, I dedicate myself to my passion for dance. As an enthusiastic dancer of Salsa and Bachata, I offer free dance classes to promote intercultural exchange and foster connections between people from diverse backgrounds.

I look forward to any inquiries for creative work!

I look forward to hearing from you.
